CREMONA, CITY OF ART AND MUSIC
Cremona is famous all over the world for its violinmakers and their violins, but the town offers many more treasures to discover walking through the net of its small and ancient streets. You will find a town rich in history and tradition. Let us introduce you to the medieval town with its gorgeous main square surrounded by the Torrazzo, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Loggia dei Militi, the Palazzo del Comune; the Renaissance town with its impressive and elegant palaces; the town of music with the “Ponchielli” theatre and the instruments made by the great violinmakers of the past such as Amati, Guarneri and Stradivari; its typical food and the traditional sweet : the torrone. Our association offers you English-speaking guides who can also help you to plan your visit in Cremona. We suggest a half day tour (about 2.30 hours) including the visit to the monuments of the main square, the inside of the Cathedral and Palazzo del Comune, the collection of historical violins and a short violin concert performed on an instrument by Stradivari.
